Forbes Under 30
Our own Austin Patry and Sophia Karbowski, founders of Realsy, have won the coveted Forbes Under 30 award! Austin notes, “This has been a goal of mine since high school, and to see it come to fruition is truly surreal.” Congratulations to this amazing pair that is growing their business by leaps and bounds! Read more here.

IMPORTANT Report

Most US companies need to file a Federal BOI report before the end of the year. Beneficial Ownership Information Report (BOIR) is required for all LLCs and Corps. The BOIR is a new requirement under the Corporate Transparency Act. This is really important and needs to be completed prior to the Christmas holiday to make sure it is received. Here is a video to help you understand why this is so critical. Here is a link to file online. Check out the demo and then file!

GO TEXAN News
GO TEXAN has just issued their Holiday Gift Guide showcasing a wide array of Texas-made products, including several DFW CPG companies such as Jerky Y’All and Behrnes Spices. The guide is a part of the Texas Department of Agriculture’s GO TEXAN program, an initiative to support local businesses and promote Texas-made products. Find out how to include your products next year here.

Willy Wonka in DFW?
DFW has truly become the go to spot for companies that are looking to expand, both small and large. The Dallas Morning News notes, “Canadian-based Chewters Chocolates will soon begin construction on a multi-million dollar Rockwall chocolate factory.” Read full story here.

Last Minute:
It looks like the merger between Albertson’s and Kroger is off. According to CNN, not only has the merger been canceled but “Albertsons also sued Kroger for breach of its contract agreement, alleging Kroger caused the merger to be blocked.”

Thank You

Happy Holidays!
Santa was in fine form at the DFW CPG Holiday Social. Thanks to everyone who got together for a special evening of celebration, connection, and reflection on Tuesday evening at Four Corners Brewing. Not only did we celebrate the holidays, but we also marked an incredible milestone: 5 years of building and growing the DFW CPG community! Special appreciation to all who helped plan and execute this amazing event!  🎉
